PRADA PURSES FADE INTO FABULOUSNESS

Are you guys ready for some juicy gossip about Prada handbags? Awesome, me too, so without further ado, here’s the deal: this is the Prada Ombre Patent Leather tote. This is the red version, there’s a black one as well. Both of them are ridiculously gorgeous, in my not so humble opinion, and I would gladly trade my left arm for either of them (I don’t love them enough to give up my right hand though), my mood was just colorful when I picked out the picture.

Now, the story I hear is that Sunday’s featured Prada bag, the Prada Antik Metallic Dome bag, was designed to make up for the drabness of the Ombre tote. Uh, say what? Drab? Huh? The funny thing is that the reviewers from whom I heard this story went from calling this bag drab to calling it “over the top.” Well, which is it? Is it boring or ostentatious? That’s my problem with a lot of these little Prada reviewers. It’s like they don’t take the time to form their own opinion – or, if they do, they can’t even keep it straight! (Furthermore, the same site goes on to review this bag itself … and then calls it fabulous.)

I’m sorry, I’ve never seen such an innovative Prada bag before – I mean, one that I really, truly like. Look at the details – the fobs, the funky, chunky buckles, the duel straps, the sleek silver which compliments the fade out color scheme so well. My verdict is that this bag is a winner – and you won’t see me flip flopping on that opinion.

SHIMMERING PRADA BAGS OFFER GLAMOUR & GLITZ

All right, guys – I’ve found true love ten times. I’m starting to think I’m a bit of a tart when it comes to Prada handbags – but you know what? I’m all right with that. I was a tomboy for the first twenty five years of my life, I’m just making up for lost time Besides, when you come across something like the Prada Antik Metallic Dome bag, what else can you do?

Evidently, this purse represents the Prada designers’ decision to be interesting. There’s a story behind this, but sadly, I can’t let you in on it until Monday, or else it’ll fug up my whole routine, and we can’t have that, can we? Now, look. I agree that this bag is spectacular. It is absolutely gorgeous, and metallic colors are a hot ticket this fall. Besides that, they are going to continue being popular well into spring and summer. That leaves winter to think about, but truthfully, this is the perfect bag to give you a little glimmer and shimmer during the bleak, grey days often seen in January and February.

The verdict? This bag is absolutely fabulous. It is fabulous enough to do what it’s suppose to do? Well, you’re just going to have to stay tuned for the big, juicy story in order to find out about that.

SLEEK & SOPHISTICATED PRADA HANDBAGS

So, speaking of Prada handbags with sleek contours and simple lines, may I present the Tessuto Nappa A tote? This bag is an absolute work of art – my level of handbag bigotry has now reached epic proportions. I have fallen for yet another Prada purse.

But honestly, can you blame me? The Tessuto A tote manages to be both sleek and intriguing. It has just enough accents and extras to be perfect, but it is by no means ostentatious. This bag is wholly aesthetic. There is not a single part that doesn’t please my eye in a dozen different ways. It just looks versatile, and I can actually see how it would look with a dozen different outfits comprising a dozen different styles. It could dress up a pair of jeans and a cute top, it could tone down something bold, bright, and colorful without taking away from it, it could complement a really fancy dress. The possibilities are endless. I’ve already matched it with twenty pairs of shoes.

Like the name suggests, the leather trim is comprised totally of nappa leather. The tote itself is nylon – and manages not to look it at all. Not that I have anything against nylon purses, I love them – fashion and function, remember. And frankly, most of the nylon Prada purses I’ve seen have been fabulous. Still, to take nylon and make it look so luxurious and sophisticated – Prada has reached a whole new level. Verdict? Run out and buy this, now – and if you want to get one for me too, that’s aces

THE MOST MARVELOUS METALLIC PRADA PURSE

Oh, I am absolutely enamored. Currently, I am in love with approximately seven Prada handbags, but they seem okay with the arrangement so I don’t mind introducing a new model into the mix. Because it is metallic. And also because it is called the Prada Nappa Mordore Hobo and I am generally attached to anything that reminds me of Lord of the Rings, even though it’s a total coincidence. This is lovely. This is heaven in a handbag and I want it so badly I could cry.

In general, I like my purses simple. Sometimes I get in the mood for something with a lot of pockets on the outside, but I have bags for that mood. They correspond with my punk fashion days and it all works out nicely. I love the way the silhouette of this bag is clean and sleek, yet the structure and design itself is gorgeously complicated. What you are seeing here are separate strips of decadent nappa leather which have been stitched together in order to create that intricate stripped pattern you see. Prada’s signature silver logo takes center stage, creating the perfect accent piece. Needless to say, all those pieces of nappa are also metallic, lending the entire purse a glimmering sheen.

It comes in two colors, copper and anthracite. This is the latter, which is a type of dark, pewter shade. There is something evocative and somehow romantic about pewter – and the way the Mordore Hobo is crafted lends itself extremely well to that.

THE RIGHT BEIGE PRADA BAG

Redemption! That Corda bag has been bothering me, so I’ve been on the lookout for some beige Prada handbags that didn’t leave me disappointed. On that note, I bring you yet another Corda bag – this one’s more like a tote. The logo, too, is again made out of jacquard. It’s like the designers did realize that they hadn’t done enough with yesterday’s bag, and sought to remedy that as quickly as possible. All I can say is, thank goodness!

The similarities are clear, of course. However, the differences between this bag and the Prada purse we talked about yesterday are even more obvious, and thank goodness for that, too. Although, I do have to say again that the other Corda handbag may have been the victim of bad lighting and photography. Still, a Prada bag should not have a bad angle, so there’s still a need for this updated look.

As you can plainly see, the tote is a lot roomier – but without being so completely oversized that it becomes cumbersome and ostentatious. All the leather is calfskin, the fabric itself is canvas, so this bag promises durability as well as a pleasing aesthetic. The logo jacquard is a very popular accent, and the lining of it features a zippered pocket. All in all, a superior choice to its bland forebear.
